This product works well if you have a tension headache. It does help to relieve some migraines too but not quite as well for me. Of course I get such severe migraines it usually takes an Imitrex shot or Morphine to knock mine down, but I DO get a bit of relief with this product and any help is appreciated.
You do need to be carefull where you apply it. If you use it in the temple area, be sure to do it closer to the hair line as it will migrate down towards the eye corner and can cause burning.
When first applied your skin will feel as though it is burning but stay calm, that is just the oils working to break up that tension. There wil be NO actual burns, just the sensation. I carry a bottle every where I go because headaches don't wait for convenient times.
You can just roll it onor you can roll it on and massage it in. Either way works but I prefer the full strength of the oil seeping into the trouble spots.
It isn't only for headaches though, feel free to use it on the muscles in your neck or various other tense areas.

My 14 year old daughter has suffeed with migraines for some time now and has gone through 3 sets of of different prescriptions... The last time she was even given Tylenol with codine for a headache that lasted 14 days..which didn't work eother.. When I finally purchased past tense after debating on doing so for days.... She put it on and the migraine went away! She has been out of school at least once to twice a week because of her migraine. She cares the Past Tense with her daily now and I recommend it to anyone! I has been the only thing that helped her.

I like how easy it is to apply with the roll on. The scent is very heavy on the wintergreen. Past Tense tingles and soothes away an impending headache.

I carry Past Tense with me. I do not like taking medication and this topical blend works great and I think it works faster. I will continue to use it and recommend it to others.

Thanks to Janet Haines Harris who suggest that I try Doterra Past Tense my Migraines go quickly away. When, I was on a cruise to Alaska I took this wonderful product "Past Tense" along with your Lavender. I found that these two products releaved my neck pain, eased my migraines, took the pain in my muscles away and helped me walk easier. I could enjoy walking around after rolling the Past Tense on my right knee. Bravo!
I have told my friends all about the marvelous products DoTerra has. I sent my friend in Fort Bragg some Breath when she was ill. I rolled Past Tense and Shaked lots of Breath on my friend who was visiting when she had a bad cold/flu. I think that those products helped her get better. At least I got to sleep and not hear her cough.

My neck pain was reduced using this. I have muscle tension along with the pain and this oil doesn't solve that. However, the pain relief is worth the cost.

Between my high-stress desk job and student-status, I spend a good chunk of my time hunched over a computer, resulting in terrible neck and shoulder pain. My massage therapist recommended Past Tense, and words can't describe the instantaneous relief a single swipe of the stuff brings. I'll never go without again.
